NOTD: Essie "In the Cab-ana"

Today's notd is for Essie's "In the Cab-ana" a polish I had to search long and hard for. It's a beautiful medium sky blue with a nice cream formula.

The formula of this polish was pretty opaque and non-streaky for an Essie. It was slightly thick, but that just made it more opaque. 2 coats worked perfectly.

The photos below are slightly brighter than the color is in real life. It's an eye-catching blue, but it's more subdued than the vibrant color you see below.

Surprisingly, I don't own a lot of medium blues so there's not much to compare it to. But I thought I'd put it beside China Glaze's "For Audrey" (even though the two are not very similar at all) since I know it's such a well-loved polish owned by many and allows you compare a bit.

Overall beautiful polish.

What's on your nails?

  1. It looks gorgeous, I have For Audrey which is also a beautiful colour but I see what you mean about the Essie looking blue-r than it is - still a very beautiful polish, Essie are such a good brand.

  2. Pretty. I wonder how close it is to OPI "Czechbook..." because if it has a slight variance, I must get it. (I keep re-apply that polish.)
