Wet n Wild "Party of Five Glitters" Review

Today's post is going to be a review on Wet n Wild's "Party of Five Glitters." I have an addiction of glitters in clear bases, mostly for their versatility, and thought I would pick this one up since Wet n Wild polishes are relatively inexpensive.

"Part of Five Glitters" has, as it's name suggests, five different types of glitters: small red and green hexagonal glitters, bigger purple and blue ones, and the largest ones are silver.

I wanted to show a comparison of this glitter polish to Nicole by OPI's "Rainbow in the Sky-lie" to show how this polish differs from all the rainbow ones out there.

If you look at the photo above, you can see how hard it is to grab glitter in the bottle. The amount of glitter in "Rainbow in the Sky-lie" in one coat is more than Wet n Wild's single coat. This is the main reason why I have come to really hate this glitter. I've attempted to layer it over other polishes, and while I think it goes really well at creating an ice cream/cupcake/sprinkles look when combined with pastels, the thick layer of polish required is frustrating.

In the photo above and below I layered it over Essie's "Van D'Go." If you would like to see more photos of Essie's "Van D'Go" as well as a complete review, you can find mine here.

In the two photos below I layered it over POP Beauty's "Mint Magic," which I also have a complete review of here.

I really love how this polish looks over the pastels. Its resemblance to sprinkles on a cupcake is adorable and I wish it wasn't so frustrating to get glitter to apply.

As inexpensive as this polish is, I will probably not being using it at all in the near future, and possibly not at all in the distant future as well. So, if I were you, I would save the money, even if it isn't much.

  1. The polish looks so pretty over pastels :D, sucks that it's hard to work with. I can totally picture cupcake nail art with this!
